Provincial government including Bethesda Services
Some helpful news for children with autism and their families in Niagara... a provincial investment of almost $400,000, over two years, for Bethesda Services.
This is part of the government's $37-million investment over 2-years, in 100 public and private autism service providers.
The government says Bethesda Community Services can use the money to hire people, increase staff hours, train employees, invest in technology, and reach rural and remote communities.
CEO Paul McGowan says the funding will allow access to much needed Applied Behaviour Analysis services, and ensure children receive more support, while workers have the tools needed for the job.
