Suspect suffered broken nose
No charges will be laid against a pair of Hamilton Police Services officers after a man was injured during an arrest.
On November 15th, 2021, the officers went to the man's apartment to arrest him for remaining in a unit he had been evicted from.
Investigators say the man resisted arrest before being punched three times by the officers.
He was then arrested.
SIU Director Joseph Martino says the pair used reasonable force, as they were concerned the suspect may grab a nearby knife and hatchet.
The file has now been closed.
