UPDATE: The NCDSB has also decided to cancel exams for the fall semester.
The St. Catharines Standard is now saying that high school students in the local Catholic board will also have to complete culminating activities instead of written tests.
Students within the DSBN won't have to worry about writing exams this winter.
As reported by The St. Catharines Standard, exams, which were supposed to take place January 27th - February 2nd, will be replaced with "culmination days."
Superintendent Helen McGregor says that since students are learning differently this year, the decision to cancel exams was made in October.
Niagara Catholic District School Board will complete its next set of exams on December 18th.
The Ministry of Education told school boards in October that this year, they have the option of removing exam days and using them for in-class instruction instead.
