UPDATED: NRP Investigating Suspicious Vehicle in Fort Erie

Police say unknown truck driver offered youth a ride.

UPDATE - 3:40 PM, October 11th

Police have identified the driver and found that he had no ill intentions. The case is now closed. 

 

Original Story - 1:11 PM, October 11th

The NRP is asking for your help following a suspicious incident in Fort Erie. 

Police say around 4:42 p.m. on October 6th, a youth was approached by a truck driver near the intersection of Lavinia Street and North Street. 

The driver asked the youth if he wanted a ride, and the youth ran home to notify his parents. 

The truck is described as follows: 

  • Possibly a Chevrolet Silverado
  • Maroon in colour
  • 1998 to 2000
  • 4 doors
  • Distinct logo/marking on the driver’s side

The driver is described as: 

  • Male
  • White
  • Raspy voice

While no criminal offence took place, investigators do want to determine the driver's intentions.
