Officer involved in shooting incident with another officer accused of lying in court.
An NRP officer has been accused of lying under oath.
In November 2018, Sergeant Shane Donovan and Constable Nathan Parker were charged after shots were fired during an altercation in Pelham.
The charges against Donovan were dropped a year later.
Police say during Parker's trial, which started in 2021, there were concerns that Sgt Donovan lied on the stand.
In December, the charges against Parker were stayed, and no charges were laid.
Niagara Regional Police asked the Hamilton Police Service to step in to conduct an investigation.
Donovan was arrested yesterday, and is due in court on December 12th.
