You'll find the email in this story, meant to extort people based on fraudulent claims of viewing online porn
An update from police concerning an online scam in Niagara.
NRP say for the last few weeks they've been looking into emails sent by criminals indicating they have video of a potential victim watching porn online.
The email shows personal information in an attempt to show it's legit, and the scammer then demands payment in exchange for deleting the video.
Police have released a copy of the extortion email.
They add to date there have been at least 10 attempts to extort.
