Police chief says there's no known threats to Niagara, but patrols still increased in certain areas of the region, out of caution
Reassurance from Niagara Regional police they are monitoring the situation in the Middle East, and how it could impact Niagara.
Chief Bill Fordy releasing a statement on social media indicating they are closely monitoring what's happening, alongside the provincial and federal governments.
He writes there are no known threats to the Niagara community, however, out of an abundance of caution, there are increased patrols in key areas, such as places of worship and community centres.
He adds if you see anything suspicious, call police.
