A new member of the NRP K9 Unit is about to take a bite out of crime!
Police Service Dog Rudy will graduate in a virtual ceremony today, alongside his handler, Constable Time Wiley.
Since 1987, the Niagara regional Police Service Canine Unit has been in operation.
Currently, the team includes seven Canine teams, who assist with narcotics and explosive detection.
Rudy has been trained to detect and follow human scent, track fleeing suspects in all weather conditions, and protect his handler, amongst other duties.
