The Niagara Regional Police Service has been recognized as an Accredited Centre of Excellence, for police communications.
It's the first in Ontario to receive the honour and the second across Canada.
Chief Bryan MacCulloch says the communications team does an exceptional job serving our community and supporting sworn in members on a daily basis.
"This accreditation is recognition of their commitment to excellence and dedication to public safety. They provide superior, up-to-date officer and public care in a safe, efficient and effective manner. I am very grateful for the role that they play as our Service's 'first', first-responders and I thank them for their continued dedication."
The service implemented the Police Priority Dispatch System back in October 2016.
