Monte McNaughton brunt of jokes for "shower" tweet
The memes and comments keep rolling in after Ontario’s Labour Minister tweeted out the line “ We know Ontario was built by those who shower at the end of the day, not the start.”
The line was part of a tweet McNaughton sent out this week to convince voters to cast a ballot in June for the Ford Tories.
Before the now infamous line, McNaughton said "Our government is standing with hardworking people... not those who want to 'phase out' good blue-collar jobs.”
Shortly after he sent out the tweet, Ontarians followed up with a litany of quips including “damn those liberal morning showerers” and “So I sometimes take a bath at night and shower in the morning? What does that mean? Do I qualify?”
