The province has released the latest COVID-19 modelling today.

It also indicates the surgical backlog in Ontario has reached over 257,000 procedures, creating another challenge for the health care system.
Projections show that case counts could be above the 2,000 mark in June without tightened restrictions, but with more vaccinations, increased sick pay, and a decreased amount of essential workplaces, there could be less than 1,000 cases by then.
Experts also claim that about 90 percent of new cases in Ontario are due to variants.
