The Special Investigations Unit has charged a local OPP officer with sexual assault.
The alleged incident happened in Aurora back in August 2019, and it involved a woman.
The officer works for the Niagara satellite detachment of Burlington OPP.
He will appear in a Newmarket courtroom on Wednesday February 26th.
The SIU is an arms length agency that investigates reports of death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault involving police.
