Officers say an estimated value of over $22 million worth of cannabis seized.
Six people are facing charges following a local OPP drug bust.
Officers say on October 14th, search warrants were conducted at two greenhouse locations and two homes in Vineland and St. Catharines.
Together with members of the NRP, the Provincial Asset Forfeiture Unit (PAFU) and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), more than 21,000 illegal cannabis plants were seized.
Investigators also found over 181 kilograms of processed illegal cannabis.
The OPP says the total estimated value of the drugs seized is over $22 million.
The following six people have been charged under the Cannabis Act with possession for the purpose of distributing, and cultivate, propagate, or harvest any cannabis plant at a place that is not their dwelling-house.
- Xiaoqiang WANG, 34-years-old, of Toronto.
- Xiao CHEN, 34-years-old, of Scarborough.
- Erxiang SUN, 35-years-old, of Scarborough.
- Ming Hua XUE, 59-years-old of Toronto.
- Xiaping LIN, 67-years-old of, St. Catharines.
- Qiangzheng SUN, 51 years-old, of St. Catharines.
The accused will appear in a St. Catharines court on December 23rd.
