Around 30 dairy cows were killed in a devastating fire in a barn on Beaverdams Road in Thorold Saturday night
Damage is pegged at close to half a million dollars.
And guests at White Oaks Resort in Niagara on the Lake had to be evacuated early yesterday morning after a fire in an elevator shaft.
On Twitter yesterday, the hotel said "In the early morning hours today a fire broke out in an elevator shaft in our building. It was very quickly contained and most importantly, no one was injured."
The fire did not impact any of the hotel's services.
