Niagara West MP Dean Allison says people who suffered badly from COVID vaccine need to be heard

Niagara West Tory MP Dean Allison wants to hear from Canadians who have been hurt after taking the COVID-19 vaccine.

He says over 30 democratic countries are doing this, but Canada.  "According to a report by the Globe and Mail last year, more than $54-million was provided to Oxaro, the company that was administering the vaccine injury support program, with more than $36-million being spent on administration.  That's 2/3 spent on administration."

Lawyer Shawn Buckley says politicians of all parties wonder what to do.  "Is it ok, am I going to get into trouble, how's parliament going to react, how are parties going to react?  There seems to be a fear in having people come and formally share their stories."

Dean Allison says many politicians, of all parties, hear from people all the time.  "Some people lost businesses, some struggle with isolation and mental health problems, other experience severe adverse reactions, following the vaccinations.  What they all have in common, is a desire to be heard.  That is why this conversation matters."

Volunteer Theresa Buckley knows of a former, healthy 32-year old yoga instructor.  "I'm just here to share with you that after she got her second shot, she now needs a walker, and she faints about 30 times a day."

Dean Allison says this is not meant to make recommendations, or to lay blame, but just to hear people.
