This is the 9th person charged with 2nd degree murder after inmate found last June
Another man has been arrested in connection to the death of an inmate at the Niagara Detention Centre.
Police were called last June to find a 52-year old man without vital signs, he was later pronounced dead.
Since February, police have arrested eight men in connection to the death, and today they arrested a ninth person.
25-year old Eric Smoke of Hamilton had a bail hearing in St. Catharines today.
At the time of his arrest, he was in custody on an unrelated matter.
