Niagara Regional Police are cracking down on unsafe driving in 12 Community Safety Zones across the Region.
More than 140 tickets and warnings were handed out during the NRP's 20th annual back to school traffic safety and awareness day.
Over 40 officers took part in Tuesday's safety blitz and they focused on drivers breaking the rules in the 10 new Community Safety Zones.
More than 20 tickets were handed out and over 120 warnings.
Warnings will continue for two weeks and charges will be laid beginning September 21st.
