New scam leads people to believe their Social Insurance Numbers are about to expire
Niagara residents are being warned about a scam.
Police say many people have received an email containing a letter that appears to be from Service Canada.
The letter says your Social Insurance Number is about to expire, and residents are asked to call a toll free number.
Niagara Regional Police say if you get a letter like this, you shouldn't respond or call the number.
