A woman told NRP she was knocked out in Welland, and sexually assaulted
A terrifying night for a woman in her 40s in Welland over the weekend.
Police say they were called at around 4, Saturday morning, concerning a sexual assault that happened the previous night, at around 9.
The woman told police she was walking on East Main Street, near Cross, when she was hit from behind and knocked out.
When she woke up, she found she'd been dragged into a nearby alley, and sexually assaulted by two unknown men.
She told police she was left there, and made her way to hospital for minor injuries.
Police describe one of the suspects as having a medium build, and the other was wearing a dark balaclava, with what appeared to be dark, brown sideburns and eyebrows.
If you have video footage of this area from 8pm, Friday night, to 4 the next morning, you might be able to see the woman wearing dark coloured snow pants, and a dark coloured winter coat.
Call police if you see anything suspicious.
