Nine people have been arrested in connection to alleged illegal activity at a home in St. Catharines.

Police were investigating human trafficking this month, and using a search warrant, entered the house on Tuesday.

Police say they found roughly $80,000 worth of illegal drugs.

• 188 grams in fentanyl

• 154 grams of crack cocaine

• 31 oxycodone pills

• 91 hydromorphones

• 293 grams of crystal meth

• $7,000 in proceeds of crime

• Personal items related to the investigation

They also recovered a stolen recreational trailer, valued at roughly $25,000.

However, no charges in relation to human trafficking have been laid, as the investigation continues.

Police add five of the men are from Niagara, while the other men and one woman are of no fixed address.

Police also called in building inspectors to assess the building for safety concerns and violations.
