Many different ways to donate this year
Just in case you were wondering the Royal Canadian Legions annual Poppy Campaign kicks off on Friday.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Remembrance Poppy in Canada.
Once again the legion has partnered with HSBC and will be setting up Pay Tribute Poppy boxes in some locales.
The legion says the boxes allow people to donate and receive a Poppy using tap and pay technology on cards, smartphones, and devices.
Traditional poppy boxes will still be placed in stores.
Donors can also donate directly through the Legion’s national website.
Close to $20 million s donated during the National Poppy Campaign each year.
