A splash of colour is being celebrated in Port Colborne.
The city, along with the Downtown BIA has unveiled the new rainbow crosswalk celebrating the LGBTQ2+ community.
The crosswalk was installed yesterday evening using thermoplastic material which city officials say should last six to eight times longer than traditional traffic paint.
BIA president Jesse Boles giving a shout out to their partners on the initiative including "Port Cares, Positive Living Niagara, Reverend Jody Balint of St. James and St. Brendan’s Anglican Church, and local real estate agent Carlie Smith from Royal LePage, for being advocates of the rainbow crosswalk. And of course, thank you to Meridian Credit Union for being the title sponsor."
