Port Colborne jewelry store robbed
A Port Colborne man is facing break and enter charges.
Just after 1:00 a.m. this morning, a witness called 911 to report a break and enter in progress at a jewelry store on West Street between Clarence Street and Charlotte Street in Port Colborne.
Police say the suspect arrived in a green Dodge Caravan and broke the front glass window to get in.
The suspect stole several items before taking off.
Officers quickly found the suspect on 3rd Avenue near Killaly Street West.
An arrest was made, and all stolen items were returned.
Jamie Edward Leggett, 49, was arrested.
He has been released on bail, and is due in court in June.
