After 33 years, the Port Dalhousie Business Improvement Area is disbanding. It's budget has reportedly gone from $100,000 to around $15,000 since 1986.
Half of it's $10,000 levy goes to mandatory insurance and audits.
A motion was brought forward by board member Wolfgang Guembel of Lock Street Brewing Co. last month to take the steps necessary to disband as soon as possible.
Members submitted their resignation notices effective November 30th.
