It was another gathering outside St. Catharines courthouse
A number of people showed up at the St. Catharines courthouse this morning, still pushing for changes to Canada's justice system.
Brenda, who didn't give her full name for security reasons, has been involved trying to toughen the bail system, as convicted sex offender Daniel Senecal's case moves through the courts.
She noted a number of speakers this morning. "Different speakers have different experiences from their past, whether they're a victim themselves, or their child was a victim, we all have kind of the same message. There are some other speakers that have political backgrounds, some have come with a petition."
She says Rodney Stafford, who's daughter Tori was killed, was not able to make it.
She also says Senecal is in a Toronto jail, as proceedings for his case also take place in St. Catharines.
She's holding to support from various Niagara mayors, and Niagara Centre MP Fred Davies. "Fred Davies is the one who started a petition to bring forward to Parliament, he's bringing it forward on Monday. The last we heard over a week ago, it was just over 10,000 signatures, just in Fred's office alone."
She also believes protests don't have much impact, but talking to politicians for change.
