Day activities still allowed
The province sending out a notice it is banning recreational camping on public and Crown land because of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
Under the Emergency Management Act, there will be no tents, trailers, recreational vehicles and or watercraft equipped for overnight accommodation.
Officials say the ban does not affect anyone exercising their Aboriginal or treaty rights.
Residents can still use public land for day use activities like exercise as long as it is consistent with the stay at home order.
