Money to be used for Thrive Niagara, meant to increase business investment
Provincial government spending $650,000 on a Niagara program to attact more investment and business.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff made the announcement yesterday, the money supporting the start of Thrive Niagara, designed to grow advanced manufacturing, defence and aerospace, and automotive sectors.
He repeated it's to help protect against US tariffs.
The government adds Thrive Niagara will strengthen local supply chains, also expand exporting and open new markets.
Economic Development Director George Spezza says Niagara has the location, industrial base and expertise to compete for new investment.
