Drivers who stay on for full school year eligible for bonus
In an effort to maintain a steady supply of school bus drivers in Ontario and end the ongoing shortages, the province says it will continue with the School Bus Driver Retention pilot program for another year.
The program rewards drivers who stay on the job throughout the school year with an additional $2,000
Provincial officials say the program will benefit approximately 18,000 drivers across Ontario who provide transportation to over 830,000 students every day.
