The city says it's part of the Official Plan update, for the next 25 years
City of Welland wants your thoughts on future land use, development and resource management for the next 25 years.
It's all part of the Official Plan update, which is now available on the city's website, to be commented on by August 16th.
It was developed through analysis and research, as well as public engagement sessions that started in 2021.
Highlights of the update include First Nations history, creating healthy communities, addressing climate change and economic vitality.
It also looks at growth strategies, population forecasts, and emphasis on green spaces and tree protection.
