School now posting 11 cases of the coronavirus
Another five people have tested positive for the coronavirus at a Welland public school.
The DSBN is now reporting 11 confirmed cases at Quaker Road PUblic School.
The board says Niagara Public Health has assessed the situation and is recommending the school remain open.
But public health strongly urges everyone at the school to do their daily active screening and to stay home if they exhibit even one symptom of COVID-19.
The DSBN is also reporting one case of the virus at Gordon Public School in Welland and an individual case at Central French Immersion Public School in Grimsby.
Meanwhile Niagara Catholic says an individual has tested postive at both St. Therese Catholic Elementary School in Port Colborne and St. Martin Elementary in Smithville.
