The Niagara region calliing last Wednesday a successful day, in which over 100 people gathered to figure out ways to solve the housing crisis.
The Innovative Ideas for Housing forum was held in downtown St. Catharines, with politicians, local planners, building officials and financial consultants meeting to overcome barriers.
The region says there were four distinguished speakers from across Canada sharing expertise on community consultation, property re-zoning, development funding and construction alternatives.
There were three key themes... the need for new ideas, how to fund further construction, and how to speed up approval of construction.
