Fort Erie Mayor Wayne Redekop thinks the Niagara Region should have it's own whistleblower policy.
It would protect Region employees, if they report wrongdoing within the organization.
Redekop will bring a motion forward at tonight's council meeting.
If it's passed staff will prepare a draft policy, which would be sent to the Corporate Services Committee, before returning to council.
The resolution would also be circulated to all Niagara municipalities.
