Expect moving road closures in Niagara Falls and Fort Erie, and potentially other parts of the region
Intense planning in Niagara for the solar eclipse includes road closures around the region.
The Niagara Parks website shows Niagara Falls will have the Niagara Parkway closed, from Queen Street to Fraser Hill, starting at noon on April 8th, lasting 12 hours.
Clifton Hill will also be closed, from Victoria to the falls, as well as Murray Street from Fallsview Blvd to the falls, during the same time.
Over to Fort Erie, Niagara Parks says the South Parkway will be closed starting at 8am, from Central Avenue to Dominion Road, as well as Dominion to Albert.
Police add there could be adjustments to closures as required.
Niagara Falls fire department adds there will be dedicated routes for fire trucks only, which will be closed to traffic.
