Rock Scaling Disrupts Traffic

This happens next week

A slight traffic disruption along the Niagara Parkway in Niagara Falls next week.

Niagara Parks tells us rock scaling will be done at Table Rock from Monday to Friday, weather permitting.

This is to remove loose rock and debris that naturally built up over the winter, due to freeze-thaw conditions, and it's done to maintain integrity of the gorge, and support attractions including Journey Behind the Falls and the Niagara Parks Power Station and Tunnel.

This done on the Canadian side.

Northbound traffic on the parkway, between the Bridge of Flowers walkway at Table Rock, and the nearby centre median, will be redirected to the southbound lane for equipment set up.
