Rogers Hometown Hockey weekend has finally arrived in the Rose City! The official festival doesn't kick off until tomorrow, but the City does have a few special events planned for today.
Residents are being encouraged to participate in the Jersey Challenge, by wearing their favourite sports jersey to school or work!
A special flag raising ceremony will also be taking place in Civic Square at 8:45 a.m.
Members of the public will be able to check out the free skate with Hometown Hank at the Main Arena tonight from 6:00 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.
Hometown Hank will also drop the puck, when the Welland Tigers face the West Niagara Flying Aces tonight at 7:00 p.m.
