Wayne Gates says people are paying out of control rates, while paying too much for food, rent, etc...
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates wants an end to parking fees at public hospitals in Ontario.
He says in Niagara, people are paying out of control rates, during a time when cost for rent, groceries, gas and much more has sky rocketed over the last few years.
He adds we shouldn't be forcing people to choose between visiting a loved one in hospital or making ends meet.
The NDP also says health care workers shouldn't have to worry about paying for parking every day.
The opposition further says Ontario's health care spending is the lowest in Canada per capita, with underfunding public health care by over $21-billion by 2028.
