Province hopes to have everyone who wants a shot, double dosed by end of summer
Starting today individuals age 80 and over can begin re-booking their appointments for a second COVID-19 shot.
The Premier announcing on Friday, with 65 percent of adult Ontarians receiving one shot and with an increased and more reliable vaccine supply his government is ramping up the schedule for second doses.
Doug Ford noting the goal is to have the majority of Ontario residents who choose to receive the vaccine, fully vaccinated by the end of summer.
Individuals aged 70 and over can begin rebooking their appointments the week of June 14th,
The province will continue to expand eligibility for second dose appointments based on date of first dose.
The government does caution, the timing of second dose appointments may vary based on local considerations, vaccine supply and the date of the first appointment.
