Niagara Health is out with a reminder that you can refer yourself for COVID-19 testing.
There are two assessment centres, one in Niagara Falls and one in St. Catharines.
Self-referrals are accepted by calling ahead and booking an appointment or going to one of the centres as a walk-in.
Walk-ins are available from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
Assessment centres have separate entrances from the hospital for safety reasons and if you’re looking for a COVID-19 test, do not go to the main entrance of the hospital, or the ER.
Since self-referrals began on May 25th, more than 1,400 people have come to the centres wanting testing.
