Premier Doug Ford says he will look into allowing stores to open on Family Day holiday.
Should businesses be allowed to open on Family Day? That's a question Premier Doug Ford asked today speaking at Queen's Park.
While many stores in Niagara Falls & Niagara-on-the-Lake tourist areas are permitted to be open, most businesses across the region & province were closed yesterday.
The Premier wonders if that's best for everyone, suggesting many people want to work on the holiday to earn extra income.
He said it could add 1 million working hours to the economy.
