Pt. Colborne pair always played the lottery
A massive lottery win for a pair of Port Colborne siblings after playing Lotto 6/49.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming says Richard Smith and Evelyn Fox scored the $1-million prize after playing the August 31st draw.
The pair says they play the lottery on a regular basis, with Richard adding he asked if she had checked their ticket yet. She said "No, we never win!". He checked the ticket, saw the win on the OLG App, which made him stop in his tracks, and caused his sister to freeze and feel overwhelmed.
He plans to retire, looking forward to not having to go out in the snow anymore, and she wants to buy a new vehicle and invest the rest.
They bought the ticket at the 7-Eleven on Clarence Street.
