Safety issues detected at beaches in Wainfleet, Port Colborne, Lincoln, Grimsby and Fort Erie
If you plan to beat the heat by going swimming, the Niagara Region is advising you to stay away from a few beaches.
Ecoli has been detected at Crescent Beach and Waverly Beach in Fort Erie, and Sherkston Quarry Beach in Port Colborne.
Reebs Bay in Wainfleet has been classified as unsafe due to the presence of algae.
As well, safety issues have been found at Nelles Beach in Grimsby and Charles Daley Park in Lincoln.
Throughout the summer, Niagara Region Public Health tests the water at area beaches to make sure its safe for swimmers.
