The company says Ryan Smolkin has died at the age of 50
Smoke's Poutinerie says founder and CEO Ryan Smolkin has died at the age of 50.
The company says he died yesterday, after complications from surgery.
Smolkin started the company in Ajax in 2009.
Since then, locations have opened up across Canada and in the U.S.
President and COO Mark Cunningham will take over as CEO.
