The Niagara Health Donation announcing a major gift in support of the new South Niagara hospital.
Spencer Fox of E.S. Fox has pledged $5 million dollars which will go to create The Fox Family Stroke Centre of Excellence at the site when it is completed.
The foundation writes "The gift to the It’s Our Future campaign was inspired after Spencer’s son Ben suffered a stroke at age 15 due to a carotid artery dissection that impacted his left side. Following his recovery, Ben has become a champion for raising funds and awareness about heart disease and stroke and is leaving a legacy of giving back to our community."
To date, over $20,756,000 has been pledged in support of the new South Niagara Site in Niagara Falls.
