Kiosks to launch at Casino Niagara on November 23rd.
Sports betting has kicked off at Fallsview Casino Resort.
Yesterday, 21 kiosks were added to the gaming floor, with another 15 coming to Casino Niagara on November 23rd.
Mayor Jim Diodati was on hand to place the first legal sports bet yesterday and wagered $20 on the Argos to win the Grey Cup.
The touch screen kiosks will allow bets to be placed on all major sports in North America, as well as other major sporting event such as the World Cup.
"To now be able to offer sports betting for Fallsview and Casino Niagara guests is quite a thrill and a milestone that was a long time in the making," said Richard Taylor, President, Niagara Casinos. "This day wouldn't have been possible without the partnership of the OLG, the Province of Ontario and the AGCO. This gaming expansion will bring jobs, excitement and other positive economic impacts to Niagara Casinos and the Niagara Region, and we can't wait to hit the ground running."
Several betting options will be available, including single event wagering, parlays and sports betting windows.
Fallsview is also expecting to open a Sportsbook later this year.
