New trails created at Fairview Park and Pearson Park.
Some good news if you like to hike the trails in St. Catharines.
The City has created two brand new trails within open park spaces.
One of the trails is at Fairview Park on the side of the former third Welland Canal.
It runs from Scott Street to Fairview Mall.
A second new trail has been created at Pearson Park.
That trail has walkways connecting neighbourhoods to park amenities including the Kiwanis Aquatics Centre.
As well, existing trails at Rennie Park and Lakeside Waterfront Trail have been extended.
The City also says construction on the Merritt Trail continues.
