Public facilities in St. Catharines, including arenas, City Hall and more will soon require proof of vaccination.
You'll soon need to prove you're vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to use several facilities in St. Catharines.
Effective Wednesday, September 22nd, Ontarians will need to have a receipt indicating they've received both COVID-19 shots in order to use a number of services.
In St. Catharines this includes the following:
- St. Catharines City Hall
- City arenas (Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre, Garden City Complex, Bill Burgoyne Arena, Merritton Arena)
- St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre
- St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre
- City Community Centres (Port Weller Community Centre, Russell Avenue Community Centre)
- City Older Adult Centres (Dunlop Drive OAC, West St. Catharines OAC, Port Dalhousie OAC)
- Morningstar Mill
- Lakeside Park Carousel
- Victoria Lawn Cemetery offices
Upon entering these facilities, you'll need to show an electronic or paper receipt indicating you're doubled-dosed against COVID-19, as well as government-issued ID with your name and birth date, including a driver's license, birth certificate, citizenship card, passport or health card.
Exceptions will be made for kids under 12, medically exempt people with a doctor's note and patrons under 18 who are using indoor premises for organized sports.
