Incident happened last Friday in the water off Sunset Beach
A 20 year old male from St. Catharines is facing charges after operating a jet ski in an unsafe manner around swimmers at Sunset Beach in St. Catharines.
Last Friday, the NRP's Marine Unit charged the operator of the jet ski with careless operation as well as not having proper safety equipment on board and operating it without transferring license.
NRP are reminding the public that operating a vessel in a designated swimming area is prohibited and an offence.
This regulation is in place to ensure the safety of swimmers and to prevent accidents.
It's important to be aware of and follow local rules and regulations when operating any kind of watercraft.
