St. Catharines MPP Jennie Stevens is asking the Premier to denounce an anti-abortion group planning to select the Conservative party candidate in at least one riding.
The Campaign Life Coalition has sent a letter to pro-life activists in St. Catharines, saying they have picked a PC party candidate for the riding who is "solid on life and family issues."
The letter calls for conservatives in St. Catharines to join and donate to the Ontario PC party, and includes a blank PCPO membership form.
Stevens says Premier Doug Ford shouldn't allow the group to organize his local campaigns.
"Ontarians who believe in reproductive rights need to hear Doug Ford publicly denounce the Campaign Life Coalition and their mission. He needs to clearly and publicly instruct this hateful organization to stop collecting donations and memberships on his behalf."
