Free municipal parking will continue in St. Catharines, but with a three hour time limit at meters and parking lots.
Parking will remain free until the end of April at city-owned spots, but the time limit will be enforced.
The St. Catharines Downtown Association reports that a number of calls have been made regarding abuse of free parking, specifically with cars parked for the majority of the day.
On January 18th, in an effort to help businesses and customers during the pandemic, St. Catharines city council voted to waive parking fees until April 30th at all city-owned meters, lots and garages.
