Officials say three hour limits for on street parking and city owned parking lots will return to the downtown core.
Officials say as lockdown restrictions begin to lift business is returning to the downtown area and as a result, demand for parking is growing.
Starting next Wednesday, March 17th, the city will begin enforcing the three hour time limit but the free parking will remain in effect until April 30th.
The city says this will also stop some individuals who would typically park in garages downtown from using the free parking spaces instead.
Those wishing to park for periods longer than three hours can still park free of charge at the Ontario Street and Carlisle Street Garages.
